 Dr Hiremath works with many organisations in the field of environment and society. He co-ordinates Novel foundation for Science, which organizes lectures, seminars and dialogues to create awareness of the environment, health and development in S&T among all sections of society.   He was the Organizing Secretary of the ICMR sponsored Seminar on Advances in Stem Cell Research held on 29 March, 2008 and ‘National Seminar on Stem cell Research & Therapy’ held on 12 May 2007 in KLES Kidney Foundation, KLES Prabhakar Kore Hospital & MRC, Belgaum
